After a 10-month closure, this wonderful place is again welcoming guests for amazing jungle experiences. If you want to see the jungle and Panama canal from a distance, you can go on a cruise, but if you want to actually experience the jungle and actually cross the canal in a fun ride in a small boat, come here. Here we had up-close encounters with monkeys and crocodiles, caught fish, kayaked to a waterfall that I swam in and spotted parrots, toucans, and howler monkeys from the sundeck of the boat. There's more adventures available here we didn't even do. Everything is clean, food freshly prepared and very good and beds comfortable. We almost settled for just one night here but I'm so glad we stayed two! My wife and I have visited central America 10 times and this is our favorite place we've stayed.

In February 2020 four of us, all in our early sixties, did the 3:00 PM to 3:00 PM overnight stay at Jungle Land. We had a great time with all of the activities and had lots of fun with the foreign volunteers and local guides. We were picked at Gamboa Docks around 3:00 PM and transported to the floating lodge. We were assigned our rooms, changed into our swim gear and off we went on a nice kayak ride to a small waterfall for some swimming, then back to the lodge. Supper was amazing and exceeded expectations. Relaxing on the rooftop with tasty cocktails was very nice. Then it was off on the night cruise which is pretty cool. Back at the lodge we had a few more cocktails then it was off to bed. We opted for the 6:30 AM fishing trip. Saw a couple large crocs or gators?? and spent about 1 1/2 hours fishing. We were lucky that each of us caught a fish. Went back to the lodge for an 8:00 AM breakfast then away we went to the Gamboa Docks to drop off and pick up new guests. On the way back we cruised around the lake among the very large ships, searching for and finding monkeys and other wildlife. Back to the lodge and it's lunch time. We spent some time swimming and jumping off the lodge roof deck. Then it was off on another kayak ride to a different waterfall area with a nice little hike. Then back at the lodge we swam and jumped some more and before you knew it, it was time to head back to Gamboa Docks to return to Panama City. Was it hectic? A little bit but it's the way we like it. You can opt out of any of the activities if you prefer to lounge around and relax, as some guests did. Jungle Land was fabulous and was certainly one of the highlights out of many highlights of our trip to Panama.

Can't describe the freedom of swimming in the lake, jumping in the water, feeding the monkeys, breathing the air. Don't miss this - and we were 6 - 4 kids 17, 14, 8, 7, so it's good for all ages.
