Wolves, Bison, Deer, Donkeys, Mountain Goats, original horses, all kept in natural surroundings, looked after carefully but not intrusively. A wonderfull day out.

I loved this zoo, I didn’t expect to but I did. A zoo based on European animals doesn’t immediately grab you, zoos are meant for the exotic and sadly European animals just don’t sound exotic! Well I’m glad no one listened to me and we went. It certainly had a different feel to many other zoos, a slightly more wild,... More

€35 for 2 adults, 2 children, we took a 13 year old and a 10 year old and spent a very happy 3 hours there. Wear comfortable walking shoes for the big park. The animals were very close to you so some great photo ops. There are some English descriptions walking around. The food in the restaurant is God value... More

Some unusual animals, great for kids to explore open enclosures. There's a horse and cart ride round but I'd advise doing it on foot as you can take more time and see more. All-in-all a half day well spent.

Another venture based upon Trip Advisor app and another place on our doorstep (while on holiday). We followed the signposts and didn't get lost. We arrived late Sunday morning and expected a mass of cars in the car park. This wasn't the case and the whole place felt as if we were VIP's for the day during to the few... More

A very gentle and relaxing day with the animals. A very different type of Zoo to La Palmyre also in the region. Dissappointed that the restaurant here did not offer something better. The caleche ride around the zoo was great and I highly recommend. THe guide was very knowledgable and fun and took food to feed the animals which meant... More

The team of the zoo thanks you for your comment, a working group was set up for to improve the restaurant. It is true that the circuit in the horse carreage makes it possible to differently discover the large park with in particular explanations ont he lifestyles of the animals. We hope to re-examine you again soon among us. More

Our second visit. Not a spectacular zoo like Royan/Palmyre but interesting to stroll about and see 'local' animals. Park is divided into two - small parks is animals in typical zoo enclosures and big park is much larger enclosures for deer, bison etc. Take your time - you can get quite close to the animals - and really see how...
