It was kind of a snooze fest. Other than the orchids and the suspension bridge there is nothing much entertaining for a young crowd.

Being closer to nature with a relaxed walk among trees. Nice place to visit with families. Will take around half a day to visit in a relaxed manner. If you are in a hurry just want to see the garden there is a service to take you around with a pay of Rs2000 per hour (For 7 persons). Tried this... More

Easy to access by bus, no need to pay for tuk tuk. Catch bus from the clock tower in town for 16rs. Spent half a day here walking around, so much to see and very interesting. Would highly recommend

If you are interested in the native flora, this may not be the place for you. If you are happy to see a very large collection of lots of different plants and flowers from everywhere, then, this is a good place. Be prepared to spend considerable time or else you'll be rushed and not see much. It can be very... More

Tickets are sold at 1500 LKR/pax. Big garden! We were there quite late so didn't managed to sight see everything. There were quite a number of schools and students playing at the big field etc.

This park should be free, only then should you even consider placing it on your to-do list. In my opinion it is nothing special, cities all over the world have great gardens/parks which are better than this - but the difference is they are free. As an aside, you may get to see some Monkeys. Unless you are specifically looking... More

We walked around about three hours and marveled at the tree-lined avenues, the huge fig tree with roots radiating out in all directions, Lord Mountbatten's WWII HQ, the orchid house, the landscaping, the avenue of palm trees, and the Laksala gift shop of course at the end of our perambulation thru this great Botanical Garden!

A must go in Kandy. It's a beautiful huge park with a broad variety of trees, plants, grass, bamboo, etc. We walked around for about 2h and made 50% of the park. One can easily spent half a day here. Entrance fee as always in Sri Lanka discriminating 1500Rs. vs. 60Rs. for locals. Factor 25.
