Such a beautiful place! The trek down to the Lagoon takes about 45 minutes if not longer if you are super sure footed. But I cant imagine climbing the steep trek back up. My husband and I both are very active and in healthy shape...More

I just can recommend to do the whole loop and the at the end you will have the highlight which will leave you speechless. Absolutely awesome and one of the best hikes I've ever done!!

The crater is stunning and the water almost turquoise. From the top to water level is about a 20 minute hike, however the return is about an hour and a half. Lots of souvenirs for purchase if you want. No free parking.

It's a fairly straightforward walk down and there is kayaking on offer at the bottom but otherwise it's just a slog back up again .The village offers lunch/snack .

If you go to Ecuador you most go there and so the loop.We did the hike from sigchos to isinlivi then isinlivi to chugchilan then chugchilan to quilotoa and we stayed in quilotoa one night. It was basically an amazing 4 days hike!
