Bellissima passeggiata nel centro storico di Canelli. Questa via presenta diverse opere d’arte e, arrivati in cima (è un pochino ripida) si può contemplare il paesaggio del paese visto dall’alto con i suoi tetti, molto romantico, peccato solo per i palazzi posti in centro che rovinano un pochino il panorama. Ma è sicuramente una passeggiata che mi sento di consigliare, soprattutto per quanto riguarda il centro storico di Villanuova, centro antico della città costituito da vie acciottolate, suggestivo.

In visita a Canelli abbiamo percorso questa Strada . Una salita ripida che ti conduce a un punto alto panoramico, sovrastato dal castello ma non visitabile in quanto privato. Buon punto d'osservazione sulla città, aimè dominata dalla vista di grossi e brutti condomini. La strada è costeggiata da alcuni disegni e dipinti. Ho apprezzato quello realizzato da Catalano.

E' una vera e propria galleria d'arte all'aperto, che si snoda da piazza San Tommaso fino al Belvedere.
E' stata ispirata a Peynet, che nel 1983 visitò Canelli e rimase colpito dalla bellezza del panorama che si ammira dalla Sternia.
Lasciò un disegno inciso su una piastrella, e nel tempo altri artisti vennero invitati a realizzare opere sul tema degli innamorati.
