What sets this park apart is the Summer Concert Series. We saw the Pittsburgh Symphony for free & it was excellent. People take their lounge chairs & even food or snacks & have a good time for free. The park definitely needs some TLC as they let it get overgrown in areas. It has many walking areas, where people of... More

South Park has many great walking trails. You could spend an entire day just visiting the trails. There is a small animal preserve with peacocks, turkeys, geese and a small herd of buffalos. There are swimming pools and wave pools (in season) and ice skating rink (in season also).

South Park is a nice place to walk. Corrigan drive gives you a long flat place to walk. It's a dog friendly park.

We went to this park last year and saw various wild animals as well as we got to feed the ducks. Great place for children to go and play.

The Pittsburgh south and north are trash compared to the past. The county has met them go and they both look like part of the walking dead

Visiting the Pittsburgh area and a fried recommended that we check out the Summer concerts offered by Allegheny County at the South Park Amphitheater. On June 17th, it was Walt Maddox & The Marcels. This group's biggest hit was "Blue Moon". Parking there is tight, but after several passes we parked in the grassy lot next to the arena. A... More

Our family has used the paved walking path for years at South Park. It's a great place for family cook-outs, very kid-friendly with several playground opportunities for children of all ages.
