Need to climb down a few steps ( after coming back we found there is lift) its a Shiv temple. There are other deities too. Sprawling cave complex. It's said Aswattama was born in one of the caves here.

If you want to experience true bliss and peace, this is one of the places you should visit. You will need to climb down a few steps to reach the main sanctum sanctorum. But the atmosphere around the temple is very calm and soothing. Inside there is the main Shivling and Trishul.

Outside the main temple, there are benches kept which can be used to sit for a while. While one staircase goes inside the temple, the other goes further below to the area where the river is flowing. The river's water directly coming down from the mountains is super clean, and you can literally feel the cold temperature.

Overall, the area is very peaceful, and no matter what tour you wish to finish, this temple is a must-visit place to experience peace and tranquility.

Tapkeshwar: Tapkeshwar is a famous holy temple of Lord Shiva on the bank of seasonal Asan river near Dehradun. Known to have one of the oldest Shivling in the cave, Tapkeshwar Mahadev Temple is located at 6.5 km from Dehradun city. As water droplets continuously drops on the shivling, hence it was named as 'Tapkeshwar'.Advisable to visit from 6 AM to 7 PM

Distance-
1. 5km approx from Ghantaghar,rajpur road
2. 7km approx from Dun railway station
(Ample parking for 4 or 2 wheeler )

Best company to go with:
You can go with your gf, friends or family, it’s a place where no one cares about you.

Famous for -
It’s wet soaked massifs which keeps on spread water droplets without even having seen its source yet.
If you’re shiva bhakt , go for it .

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ( cleaniness matters )

Many, if not most come to visit the Lord Shiva cave, and that is certainly a rewarding experience. Across the river stands a very large statue of Lord Hanuman, which was my drawing card. You can park near the entrance and then descend down the car road or take a smaller path to the left. Both bring you to a large divided rail of steps, on one side the sadhus. Nearing the bottom you will see Lord Hanuman, then various other aspects of this location. The river, due to a Lot of heavy rain in the mountains was brown and turbulent. Go to the left for the cave.
