Stopped off here to split up a long north/south journey - just off M1. Need a decent day for all the outdoor activities. £5 parking, £2.50 for blue badge holders. Pay as you go e.g. £2 for smallish adventure playgroup near car park-think there are other options round the lake. Good range of bikes for all, including people with disabilities:-)... More

A lovely Sunday walking around the park. Blue skies, blue lake dotted with sailboats. Lots of walkers, cyclists, families, kids and dogs all enjoying the Spring sunshine. Only spoilt by a couple of jet skis roaring around the lake. Noisy, polluting and disturbing the local wildlife - should be banned!

Nice lake with a play area for children, also you can ride your bike while taking in the stunning views. However, if you come in a car the the parking is around £5 but it is worth it

From the start having to pay £5-00 for entry, then having to park on bogged grass, nearly being hit several times by the pedal vehicles they rent out, then charged extortionate money for two sandwiches, also having to adjust because they didn't have an endless amount of stuff. Food was cheap tat excluding ham which was reasonable, ( ham salad... More

Nice place for young children good walk round lake ideal for buggies. Cyclehire available different types of bikes for all ages. Little railway down to play area. Good picnic area. Only complaint I thing parking charge is high £5 if you go a couple of times a week with small children and a low income this can be expensive

Nice little day out in the summer for picnic etc kids can run free, car parking around £5 there are some areas where you could probably park for free but it's easier to go to the car park with kids. There's a little train that takes you to a petting area with animals think this cost around £1 per person.... More

Arranged to meet some friends for a dog walk. Although the place is excellent for walking the dogs, the price of car parking made it a place I will only visit occasionally
