This dam is inaugurated by late Jawaharlal neheru it is the Asia longest dam having nearly 4 km. Both side two minars and also it is a great tourist attraction with having a picnic place nearby.

The dam is situated right next to sambalpur city. The newly constructed road along the dam is a pleasure ride. The view from jwahar Tower is also very good. Overall a nice outing place.

A nice place to visit near Sambalpur.The largest dam on the earth of 25 km.A very scenic place,the water reminds about the sea. Near by places are Zero points Gandhi minar Nehru minar Samlei temple Usha kothi Chipilma and ghanteswari temple

The longest earthern dam in d world... What more is required for describing the tantalizing beauty of d dam..... Simply awesome and d dam looks even more majestic when viewed from atop d towers, situated on both side of d dam.
