Great food options Including live bugs! Naka has a wide range of food and alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages to walk up and down the streets with! It definitely gets rowdy after 9PM but is a fun night out with friends

Before our cooking class, we were taken to the old central market in Phuket to see where the ingredients are sold - fresh and inexpensively. A truly fantastic place (the food area) to wander and be amazed. For the place the locals go, try the...More

This is a great market for the food stalls. Didn't try the fried insects but a lot of others were. 3-4 hours for shopping and eating is about all you need.

A huge market divided in two sections: food and other things like bags, souvenirs, electronics, etc. Too crowded and full of tourists. I prefer the Chillva market Wich is more tiny and cosy. And the prices are really local.

Plenty of food, plenty of local merchandise shop. Any kind of food is tasty here. For muslim, don't worry they will tell and be honest with you if it's halal food or not. But if you're visiting Bangkok after that. Better to shop in Bangkok,...More

We enjoyed the Naka market however the smells can get to you if you are sensitive. Shopping was great. And the food and culture were great to see.

Take a Tuk Tuk to the market, they'll drop you off at the right place. It's too far to go on foot from Phuket to the market.

I suppose it is, but there is more than one market in Phuket town, this one is located if you make a right turn by the second traffic light after King Power (going north on Chaofa west from Chalong circle).
