After 12 years designing and developing one of the World's most highly awarded Ecotourism companies, John "Caveman" Gray goes his own way by forming "John Gray's SeaCanoe" with 18 of his most loyal and experienced guides. "After 12 years in Phuket, the experiment ran its course and I was packing for Polynesia," says Gray, "but when all these guides showed up, I had no choice but to stay and do another start-up."

We arranged our trip for Valentine's Day - didn't fancy a posh dinner with lots of other couples getting the same rose and musical serenades! So picked this excursion and are we glad we did! We were picked up from our hotel (Cape Panwa) at 11.30am and taken to Ao Po Mariner where we waited for our boats departure. A... More

This was a birthday gift for me, and it was absolutely fantastic. You visit a number of breathtaking caves and lagoons. The food served onboard was great, the hospitality was phenomenal, and the guides were tremendous. It is a very long day (about 9 hours) and so be prepared with a change of clothes, lots of sunscreen, towel(s), batteries for... More

Pick up was prompt despite a small hiccup with the driver who was apparently not in a good mood, but once we reach Aonang Jetty, everything went well. The crew were friendly and detailed, our guide was an intern with the company but was very patience to explain the sites we visit although his english was not very fluent. The... More

Everything about this tour is fantastic. The boat ride was great, the lunch was delicious with a lot of options, and the guides were really nice and very entertaining! You can tell they all love what they do and are very knowledgeable about the area. This is a must do for your trip!!

I was very impressed with John Gray's Sea Canoe adventures. The Marriott highly recommended it since I wanted to do photography. They were right. The evening lighting was the best. But what really impressed me about this tour is how the staff talked so well of their "Boss - John Gray" and his vision for cleaning up the caves. We... More

Had an abosulutely awesome time going on the Phang Nga Bay tour with John Gray. What makes it so great is the crew! Your assigned guide stays with you the entire time making "kayaking" so easy! While I may have preferred to paddle myself, with the guide doing it for you you can sit back and enjoy the beautiful scenery... More

I took this tour about 11 years ago and found this year's tour disappointing. First of all, the areas that the tour covers are very crowded; several tour companies are going to the sights provided by John Gray, plus Gray has three boats with about 12 kayaks apiece going out at the same time to the same place. At one... More

Thanks for your review. Please let me clarify. 1 - You are correct about the other companies, They often follow us into Hongs I discovered. I have spoken with National Parks about asigning times, but all they care about is collecting fees - for doing nothing. I would love to develop a management plan with them! 2 - As to... More

The day trip was amazing. Beyond expectations. Place visited was so very beautiful. Experience on small boats into the caves in open sea is unbelievable. Organisers take care of food and safety at its best. Must go for travelers traveling to Phuket.

The entire trip was really well planned and exciting. The view is comparable to what I had seen in New Zealand. It is that amazing. There were several parts where we had to lie flat in order to enter the cave. It was a little scary, but at the same time, it was thrilling. Thumbs up to our guide Krac... More

Had a great day on the hong by starlight tour. Beautiful scenery, good vegetarian food options and we really enjoyed the canoeing with our guide Don (not sure of spelling) We felt very safe with him and had lots of laughs along the way. Would highly recommend this trip.
