Easy to get to by bus from San Gil, this waterfall makes a good half day trip. I paid 7,000 to get in. The bus was 5,000 each way. The hike up is pretty easy, about 20 minutes. I wouldn’t wear flip flops though. At...More

This waterfall is beautifully surrounded by dense jungle trees and plants. How to get there: take a bus from San Gil. It's bus 4 to Charala, it costs 7000 per person and takes about 45 minutes to get there. They drop you off at the...More

We enjoyed our walk to the cascade in the lush jungle, the site is kept very clean and several cords help you climb to take the different views or cross the river.

Nice place! We liked it there. We were almost alone in the place. It's calm and you can go in the cascadas but the water is cold.

Our experience here was a bit strange. First of all the road was blocked so the bus took an insane detour adding an hour to the journey (the bus journey is 8,000COP). We arrived at the start of the trailhead (from the second entrance) and...More

Beautiful landscape, it's a tricky hike and once you arrive it's a little crowded in high season. Be really really careful since the rocks on the way back can be very slippery. There's no staff on the way of any kind. Worth the visit.

It's a great waterfall to visit on a hot day. It takes about 40 minutes on the bus to get there (5000 COP/person) and the entry fee is 7000 COP/person. We hiked the 40 minute walkway to the lower part of the falls where you...More

I'm sorry, but I haven't dedicated any time to exploring and comparing all transport options. I'm not sure if there is smaller local airport closer to San Gil but what I do know is that the closest international airport is... More
