We have been to 5 or 6 beaches so far and this we find the best one: long and wide beach, often windy what makes it easier to stand the day heat. Views are beautiful: rocks, green islands, sometimes yachts. Sand is pretty clean, umbrellas available. Could be a bit wavy as wind is always blowing. Plenty of restaurants nearby but no big hotels so you avoid noisy crowds everywhere. I can’t say this beach is uninhabited but far less people than on Kata or Kamala

Nice compact picturesque beach area wrapped around a small lagoon. It wasn't busy, perhaps due to the proximity of resort and the Buddhist temple. Difficult to find a parking area so our driver took us up the hillside to a promontory that allowed magnificent views on the area below. My wife and I both considered it an area where we could enjoy a relaxed and quiet vacation at a future date.

Spent the day with family, a really lovely beach with picturesque views. If you want a sunbed, get down early as most are taken very quickly. There are places to sit in the trees and shade if you don't mind that. There are a row of restaurants and shops you can buy ice creams, lunch, beach inflatables etc. Everything you need.

Naiharn beach is a gorgeous beach for swimming and hanging out in lounge chairs. For 200 baht you can rent a pair of loungers and an umbrella but you have to get there early for the good spots, preferably before 9:30 am during peak season.
You can buy fruit and snacks nearby for what is probably an inflated price but it's convenient for sure.
Remember to pack your sunscreen and plenty of water. The water can be calm but also remember to look at the colour of the flag on the beach to make sure you're a skilled enough swimmer to manage it.
There is a nice lagoon area for children on the left side of the beach.

Too many Eastern European tourist's like Russians in Nai Harn and Rawai Beach, with very bad manners, that take up all the beach area and push in front of you in bars and restaurants.

We visited Nai Harn beach in 2013 on way to Promthep cape to see the infamous sunset. Our taxi driver recommended this beach and we tanked him for this.
We were told that this used to be nude beach until few years back (huh!). beach gets tides, so good for tide lovers, but has red flags as back current is not very safe at these spots. Me and son though enjoyed every tide. Since it is located far off and access required taxi, there wasnt too much of rush. Sand is soft and hardly any rocks under water!
some of the hotels looked nice to us (we were staying on Patong) and may be in one of the future trips, will stay on these isolated spots.

Beautiful beach - the best on Phuket. Soft sands and clear waters. Early morning when it's quiet is magical, while the sunsets are also stunning (but busier!). Definitely worth the trip if on Phuket.

The beach far away on the southern side of the island. Pet friendly beach. You can enjoy the sea, sand, sun and nice mountains view.

Clean, pleasant, beautiful and intimate beach. A lot of lifeguards present to keep everyone safe. Been there on a rainy day, so couldn’t enjoy the water activities. Can’t wait to go back on a sunny day!

Book into The Nai Harn Hotel which is right on this beautiful beach. You will have the most incredible view and there is a restaurant on the beach to take in the views

Is there any shortcut/pathway on the east end of the beach to the road which leads to the Windmill viewpoint? Or do you have to walk all the way down by the Nai Harn Lake to get to that road? Shortcut would make the trip almost 1 kilometer shorter.

Dear All:
I wish to know easy ways to go from Kata beach to Nai Harn beach?
I plan to stay at the Windmill resort near Nai Harn next month. Thank you.

The Windmill Resort is near Yanui Beach, you can walk there, but Nai Harn Beach is about 4 Kim over a large hill, if you are planning to go there daily you will need transport, as this is a quiet area of Phuket and no Tuk Tuk or Taxi on every corner

Hello,! @ Nai Harn area is very pretty and from there you can move easily on other beaches. There are several clubs in Nai Harn but it is quieter than Patong. The best way is the scooter, now there is not much traffic!
We are going to phuket from Singapore with 3 days cruise. Please suggest which beach is beautiful and how to go there ?

We did this cruise and hired a local travel guide to give us a day tour. She met us at the jetty and her driver (in a nice air conditioned 7 seater vehicle all day) took us around Phuket. Was well worth the money as you get to see quite a lot. If you are just after beaches, then you may think the travel further south may take too much time with the return ride back, as traffic is horrendous you’d only get a couple of hours at the beach.
Agree with other reviews below that the main ones are pretty busy & not clean
