We loved the facilities especially for young children, however we will not be returning as the standards have really dropped!! Food, which was really good was shocking!! Our tuna sandwich was terrible & we could not eat & the cheeseburger was left after one bite!! Place was dirty & as I said standards have dropped!! Shocking really & a shame!

Our Restaurant serves hundreds of meals a week to families and children. If there is a problem with the food, just come and talk to our kitchen staff who will be delighted to assist. Regarding standards, we have just had our Restaurant rating levels increased by the local Forest of Dean District Council. More

Came off the back of the leaflet and website, both showing pictures of lizards and snakes, saying that were was an aquarium and fun outdoor activities. When we arrived, thought that we had taken the wrong turning and had driven into a run down farm. The lady on reception was lovely but after explaining that it was mainly a riding... More

Our Visitor Centre is best known for its massive indoor Play Barn. We are also well known for our award winning environmental work. The suggestion that our ecological areas are ‘run down’ totally misses the point. Did this visitor admire the fantastic array of wild flowers, insect and bird life, or were they suggesting that this should all simply be... More

We bring out grandchildren here on a regular basis but where very disappointed last weekend. We were not told on arrival that the animals are slowly being replaced by a riding school. The equipment in the play barn is shabby an in need of a refurb and the outside equipment is no better. I noticed on responses to previousreviews that... More

The transition work is well underway outside. Two paddocks have been earmarked for the outdoor play zone. Work on this will start shortly. We cannot agree with the suggestion the Play Barn is shabby. Whilst there are one or two pieces of equipment that have been worn through popular use, the Play Barn is a bright and cheerful place and... More

We visited the park with our two 4 year old boys. The site is very run down. We actually thought it had closed upon arrival. We walked up from the wasteland car park to see a go kart track that looked abandoned and commented that it couldn't be in use anymore. The fences are all rotten. We went in and... More

Hey, why spoil a silly story for the sake of the truth??? The visitor failed to mention that they were at the Park for three hours and then, after spending time lifting play mats (??), came to Reception and asked for money back suggesting they had only been here a short time. Obviously this try-on was refused and we know... More

we visited here with our 2 children, a few weeks ago, and having been to quite a few farms before thought this one was poor, there were only a few animals on display, some of the displays had signs saying that some animals had been removed by the council because they were not british, and that some were dangerous. then... It is rather odd for a review to be posted following a visit some time ago. Many changes have taken place recently and therefore the comments really are well out of date. Every visitor is being carefully told that we are no longer an animal farm but a massive indoor Play Barn with a riding establishment. It should therefore not... More

Turned up in high hopes from leaflet saying "seen on Tv" and "award winning". When we arrived place looked run down and neglected. Once we had paid we were told how many things were now closed - no soft play, no owls, no aquarium etc. So really we say some pigs, donkeys and a chicken. Asked for a refund and... More

The quality and accuracy of this review must rank as one of the worst on record. On the day in question, nobody asked for a refund or left after only ten minutes which indicates this was an earlier visit from somebody who, after 2½ hours, tried it on to get money back and got caught out. What did they not... More

OK from my daughters perspective this is a great place she absolutely loves going there. From am adult perspective it's OK value for money, there are a couple of things that let it down- the toilets are dark, dingy and grubby, there are dust bunnies in the unused bits of the play area (seems to be that most soft play... Wouldn't advise anyone to go there, we turned up whilst on holiday after searching for family days out. It didn't look like a farm park just a dump. Didn't even bother going inside.

Sadly, expected! Enjoyed two hours at the Park and then tried to claim some money back because we were not running an event that we had not even advertised… and then got resentful on being caught out. The Management are delighted to report, however, that the re-branding is well underway. Our main attraction is the massive indoor heated Play Barn... More

I took my grandchildren for an afternoon treat, what a let down no animals ,filthy toilets,no sanitiser in dispenser, Very tatty and grubby all round. Fire door at back was accessible and easy for children to open and get out. On the plus side the children enjoyed it and had a great afternoon.

One or two slightly odd comments here. The suggestion that there are no animals is totally incorrect. There is still a good cross-section of animals and birds to visit although this is very much an add-on to our main attraction which is, of course, the massive indoor heated Play Barn. One empty soap dispenser was refilled at the end of... More
