If you are traveling the Ring Road... This is a must-see attraction. The Lagoon is beautiful over small floating icebergs. Some of the pieces of ice wash up along the black sand beach (nearby). This attraction is probably one of the busiest in Iceland. It...More

This place did not disappoint, the scenery is stunning and we spent more time here than anywhere else. We saw seals, lots of bird life, fish, and walked around the lake. Also took a tour on the dingy boats around the lake 1 hour. The...More

Great and not to miss place. You can see the glacial ice chunks in the water from the main road, and you can take trips to the glacier either by walk or by boat. Worth doing and fantastic views, especially in June.

I would rate this place as No. 1 for beauty in Iceland. Simply unmissable. It is the place where a glacier falls in the lake and fills it with countless icebergs with different shapes. Great photo opportunity and a serene spot to walk around and...More

The Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon can be visited all year round. The daylight hours are still long during the month of August and yes, plenty of ice flows and boat rides

The zodiac boats only run May - September, so I would recommend during those dates.
