Actually closed for, quite long lasting renewal works, the place is a hidden gem, with fine landscapes and waterfalls

The monastery is perched on the Cliffside on a ledge of rock, which is amazing . Buildings and structures date back to the 1100s, incredible. Not the easiest place to explore, walk about , unless you are fit.

I went here with a hiking group for a day trip from Barcelona. Monastery itself and the surrounding caves and water fall are very nice, but best are the views.

Did the tour. It is in catalan, but free of charge and very interesting. Without the tour still interesting to visit. Very nice views of the valley. Nice waterfall and cave to visit. There is a picnic place so bring some food (we didn't)

We have visited sant miquel del fai in 2016 winter. It is an amazing nature spot that I recommend to visit. There is a nice offroad route next to the monastery, Bertí cliffs! You will need a 4x4 vehicle.

This is a really beautiful place, nice place for a walk with anyone including old and young except the cave at the end of the picnic area where it's not really advisable for those who are too young or old. Very beautiful walk and very...More

This historic old monastry is reached by a winding road with fantastic views. Visitors need to be good walkers to get around the site as there are some steep climbs. The entrance had a notice to say that the restaurant was open between 11 and...More

Hi Karen, I do not recommend you to visit St. Miquel del Fai by public transport and I think that now there is some road under construction. You should rent one day car! Alternative: You can visit Montserrat monastery by... More
