Spent a day at the lac, including using the aqua park (reviewed separately).
Used a few lakes in this area and this one is beautiful.
If it’s busy you won’t get a sunshade so take a beach umbrella as there is next to no shade.
Cafe sells usual, fries, ice cream, coffee, etc at reasonable prices.
There’s also tree walking there, canoes/kayaking and pedalos and a casino which we didn’t use.
A lovely place, clean and picturesque.

Lovely walk around the lake in very warm weather, lots of fish and bird life to see. Some nice manmade sandy beaches and lots to do, with kayaking, pedaloes and adventure centre.

We were at the lake last Sunday, we arrived at 5pm with my wife, we paid 6€ for 2 hours...if the money was still used to clean the banks. When I think that there are at least 2 people for parking at the entrance; it would be better to have some near the bottom of the lake for the incivilism of people. We found disgusting, plastics on the floor and what to say about cigarette butts in pine groves. We saw a young girl smoking, crushing her cigarette and putting it under pine groves. Sincerely, we will not come back, too dirty.... the rendezvous of the local cassos!!!

Water quality not indicated cannot be recommended in this heatwave and drought weather
The waters that arrive there are clean. Where do they come from?
Do we bathe children in it? It is certainly beautiful, yes, but swimming in it without any water readings poses serious risks of disease.

I quite like this place. I've been coming to this part of France for years and we always come here. It offers a refreshing dip and some fun activities. It's best in the late afternoon.

Lovely maintained lake with sand. Perfect for families and couples. Very reasonable entrance fee. We spent all day swimming and laying in the sun and then had a snack at the cafe. Although we didn't use the other facilties, there were lots to do such as canoes, paddle board, zip line etc.

We went in August with friends who had 4 girls aged 7 to 16. There was something for all of them & a lovely day was had. It was only €1.50 entry for over 13 year olds. Dogs are also allowed after 6th September. Parking was easy in the morning, & is included in the €1.50 each charge, but it was busy later. We took a picnic, but a small cafe by the zip wire course was very reasonable for drinks & ice creams.

This place is just outside Casteljaloux and is a well maintained lake , lots to do for children , lovely forests around
Boating -swimming - tree climing - paint ball - casino - golf course opposite - interesting walks
For a family on a budget , this has to be ideal , as soon nearby there will be a centre park built , so the place has to be good

We visited a couple of times and played on the giant inflatables in the water. We also swam in the lake and took our canoe out on the calm water. Very enjoyable however got crowded in the afternoon so I recommend going early!
