My partner and I have visited Thailand a number of times but we have never experienced anything like this before. Boris and his family couldn't of been more accommodating from start to finish. We rode through some amazing areas of jungle on horses which were only small but incredibly powerful. Staying in the Lahu villages was a real privilege, but... More

Amazing trip! 5-day horse ride into the hills of Chiangmai and staying in real (non-commercial) Lahu houses and sharing their amazing lives and hospitality together with my daughter! Thank you Boris, Mila, Nala, Nora, Clara, Jafu, Julia, Ashley, Dan and all the extended family! Amazing possibly once in a lifetime trip. Made me reflect on my life vs the simpler... More

This experience was one of a life time... My ONLY regret: Not booking a 4 days tour. Boris (owner) picked us up in the early morning and you can help but to feel immediate comfort around him. We've had a beautiful ride to the farm (amazing vistas!!). Once there, we were amazed by the authenticity and fabulous rawness of the... More

Other reviews here have talked about the warmth and kindness of Boris and Mila's family. It's no exaggeration. We took our first family vacation with our toddler to Thailand and scheduled a one night two day trip to Thai Horse Farm. We were picked up by Boris who we immediately loved and taken to the farm. The horses reminded us... More

We have just returned from a two week guided tour in Laos and Northern Thailand organised by the Thai Horse Farm. The company was highly recommend by our 21 year old daughter who had done a 2 day horse trek with the Thai horse farm 2 years ago and had loved the experience. Our guide for the trip was Boris... It's been more than one and a half year since we've visited Phrao and went on a 4-day horse tour with Boris. In the meantime I've been to other continents and other countries. But still, the horse-riding trip remains one of my fondest memories. Mind you, it's not because I'm such a horse nut - in fact I've never ridden... More

Other reviewers have described how amazing this experience is: the made-for-mountain-riding horses; the beauty of the land; the delicious, abundant native and western meals; the hospitality of the people. I'm in total agreement with them on all accounts. From the moment Boris picked me up in Chiang Mai, I felt I was an extension of his family rather than a... More

I had an amazing time on this tour, i really enjoyed the riding in the mountains, the slow pace (and sometimes a bit faster for fun) and sounds of nature. I stayed the first and last day on the farm and had 4 days out riding, staying the first night at one Lahu village and two nights in another Lahu... More

To my booking inquiry, CEO Boris Mimietz replied: " I’m very sorry but the November is already fully booked, December asshol well. Hope to see you next time." Can anyone explain why he used "as..hole"? I checked English dictionary to realise its rude meaning, or being a Chinese I am mis-interpreting this word? Thank you Zhang

Hello Yuling! I’m soooooo sorry for the mistake in the e-mail to you! Please excuse me for that! I don’t know how this comes up because I wanted to write „December as well“ I hope you believe me. I cannot express how grateful I am to have come across Thai Horse Farm whilst researching where to horse ride in Thailand on the internet. I've visited parts of Africa, America, Europe and Asia, but my Thai Horse Farm adventure has truly been the most incredible highlight of all my travelling. The hospitality shown by Boris and his wonderful family... More
