This is extremely busy but for us this wasn't a problem. Lot's of different stalls with handmade stuff, clothes, streetfood, ... Fun to spend an evening here and just roam around. If you hate big crowds, this is not the place for you though.

Go out on Sunday! There are vendors that sell tasty local food, cheap souvenirs, clothes, paintings, tea, fruit, ice cream, etc. I bought about 10 items and I spent only 250 thb.

Not as packed and airier than the Saturday market. I started somewhere in the middle and walked toward burger king. The stuff were similar to the ones on Saturday, maybe less food. I loved it that the market sprawls into the temple grounds - you...More

I like going to the Sunday Walking Street Market, as there is much in the way of food, souvenirs, music, and people (Thais and foreign tourists), and I much prefer shopping here compared to stores. It's my favorite market in town.

Really disappointing. After reading reviews about seeing all the different wares for sale, I saw nothing different to the normal street market. The only thing missing was the fake handbags. But everywhere you turned was the carved soap!!! The food here was cheaper and a...More

The market on Sunday night is packed with people even more than Saturday night from what I saw and also larger. Food selections are wide and the prices seemed to be the lowest this day of the week.

We were staying at a guest house in the area and decided to go for a stroll at the market. It's quite lively and an easy walk, but it's definitely for tourists. If you're looking for a "local vibe", this is not your spot. However,...More

They start packing up around 11pm yes, but that makes it an ideal time to get a last good bargain with one of the stall owners

Since it is a "night" market I think it won't be open in the early afternoon. On the other hand, if you go before it opens there also won't be any crowds either.
