It is not a very big night market but is just as lively as the other night markets in Taipei. There are straight rows of stalls in the middle of the road which is closed to traffic in the evening. There are various types of street foods including fried stinky tofu (must try), extra large sized fried chicken, barbecued squid, assorted noodles, fruits and bubble tea here. Besides stalls selling clothes, fashion and mobile phone accessories and toys, there are also game stalls that bring a carnival atmosphere to the place. I entered on the side with more game stalls and non-food stalls and thought it was quite quiet at first - turns out most of the awesome food and crowds are just about 100m down in the 2nd half of the market. There were lots of game stalls to entertain my young children, and they enjoyed themselves thoroughly. There were simple toys as rewards for every game. Food was good - I particularly enjoyed the deep fried pork, winter melon tea, pork buns, deep fried tapioca balls and sesame oil chicken rice. There were a few stalls selling snake soup with live snakes in cages - quite the curiosity to behold. Getting back was a bit of a trouble - taxis were not common so do sort out your return route properly. Weather was warm but it’s in June - I’m just glad it didn’t rain!…

A special night market as this market combined with eating, playing and shopping night market. A good place for young and old. Gambling stall was seen.
