A drive over the causeway admiring the colours of the sea as it moves from turquoise to azure. We must have been on a day for butterflies as we saw many of many different types. Interesting to see that the road down to the harbour...More

You will never find a more picturesque, quiet, unspoiled beaches. Eriskay Paradise ! No problem parking, No parking charges, Beautiful walks and scenery, Sand and not pebbles.

Not the biggest, not the nicest.... when it comes to beaches the Western Isle is a sure fire winner. Particularly the west coast. Eriskay Beach is fine but I wouldn’t go out my way to pay it a visit.

Almost white fine sandy beach. Clean and clear water, with occasional seal spotted. Typical Hebridian sandy beach, not perhaps as long as some, but excellent nevertheless.

Very typical of many,many beaches in the outer Hebrides and it is hard to rank them. We did a circular walk starting and finishing at the ferry terminal, the first leg of which is along the beach. Very enjoyable!

This is the beach where Bonnie Prince Charlie set foot in 1745. It is the most beautiful bay setting with the clearest of blue water. Nearby is the Ferry landing to Barra. The beach is part of the walk of this part of the island...More

Eriskay 5* Must visit. Many people must be tempted to drive straight through Eriskay on their way to the Barra ferry. Well you should make time for Eriskay and walk this lovely beach where Bonnie Prince Charlie landed with a few followers, see the place...More

Hi, when you drive past the older cemetery ( stone wall ) you carry on following the road past the newer houses, there's a parking area on the right after the last of the newer houses, there's a grassy slope that leads down... More
