ATV with a difference
Aug 2019 • Couples
We didn't go to ride or see the elephants. We have done an ATV ride the last 3 times visiting Phuket, each time we use a different track so we get to see something different each time. This track by far was the most challenging and fun. Not for a beginner as some of the track is quite difficult but the guide will help you on your ATV if needed. The cliff view was spectacular and guides were very friendly taking pics for us along the way. I would definitely do this track again.

Choose a place that rescues and cares for the animals!
Nov 2018
So much elephant abuse goes on in thailand, look for an elephant sanctuary. My perspevtive is that most, if not all places that have you ride them are horroble for the animals.

Poor elephants
Apr 2019 • Friends
Only saw the elephants from the road and they were on a hill, chained up with no water or shade. I presume they were taken across the road for the tourists to 'ride' and swim but the actual elephant camp looked atrocious

Excellent experience
Mar 2019 • Family
We had a great experience with the elephant bathing in the sea experience. This experience included everything we could have wanted. We fed the elephants, washed them, and rode them bareback (I don’t like the seats. I think they hurt the elephants??). The elephant lifted my girls with its trunk. We loved it. Pang Chang Kamala also provided a shuttle to pick us up from our hotel (which was outside of their normal pick up zone), and then took us to a marina where we were going next. The elephants seemed well cared for. They didn’t have any marks on them. The elephant handlers didn’t ever do anything to move the elephants but talk to them. We had a great time. I would highly recommend the bathing elephants in the sea experience.

This place is very nice. Elephant pool is new. Elephant ride was thrilling and the rider was friendly and took lots of photo for us. We had a great time. Lots of wedding when we went too.

Horrendous Abuse
Dec 2018 • Couples
I’m okay with riding elephants, so I’m not a fanatic. I have seen many elephant camps across Asia and India. I’ve NEVER seen such horrendous abuse. As you drive up to the entrance a large bull Ellie is chained so tightly he cannot even shuffle his feet. The chains are not padded and the poor animal’s legs are torn up. As we continue up the road we see elephants on very very short chains-unable to move, chained to concrete pads. No water. No socialization, nothing but metal chains and cuffs tightly around their legs. The pool for bathing with the elephants is a gross concrete pool that’s green and black- no one would want to get in it and certainly it’s unsanitary for the animals too. I started taking pix of it all and they yelled at me to stop. I guess they don’t want you to see how they treat the animals. Monkeys too. Small cramped dirty cages with metal cuffs around their necks. I grew up with a pet monkey- there is NO NEED for this treatment and harm. Please STAY AWAY! It is upsetting. It is WRONG.

Nice place with caring handlers and friendly elephants. Lots of choices of experiences. They provide free transportation from nearby hotels.

Swim and play with elephants on the beach
Dec 2018 • Family
We did the package G which is playing with the elephants on the beach. This is located on a small private beach on Kamala bay. This is not on the same part of their other mountain top location. I know some people have issues with elephant exploitation. I can only speak to what we experienced and did. This beach experience was extremely fun and humane. You can simply walk with the elephants along a short jungle trail and watch the elephants feed on the local vegetation. You also feed them bananas the entire time. If you want to ride the elephant, you can. Then the elephants walk down into sea where you get to play and splash with them in the surf. The mahouts are extremely gentle and you can tell they love their elephants. We had an incredible time.

Sad experience
Dec 2018 • Family
Based on their website I thought I would see elephants in their natural habitat not on concrete pads with chains on there feet. Really felt awful and will never visit elephants in Thailand again. Elephants had to walk up steep concrete and were not rewarded with food or a swim while I was there.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING
Aug 2018
We chose the dearer option and so glad we did. We had a huge bucket of food to feed the elephants down by the beach. Just my friend and I with 2 elephants, 2 handlers and a tour guide. The handlers were amazing at encouraging us to get up close and personal with the elephants. Lots of fun and laughter, particularly while feeding them. These animals are well cared. Our two were mother and daughter, both pregnant. We got to scrub the elephants in the ocean and watch them feeding in the jungle close by the beach. One of the high-lights of our Thailand trip.
