Attractive arch at entrance with Chinese architecture
Nov 2019
The first thing you noticed on stepping out of this station is the tall arch with Chinese roofs. Outside Xinbeitou station are hotels, shops and restaurants. We get the feeling this station is dedicated for easy access to the Beitou hot spring area. many locals and tourists visit the hot springs.

Entry way to hot springs area
Feb 2020
This station connects to Beito station by a short train ride. The station is the entry wY to the hot springs area.

It’s clean and decorated with Characters promoting the hot springs area. The train that goes between the 2 stations is decorated with characters as well and shows a video about the hot springs area.

The old Xinbeito station is nearby and is a museum.

Not all that worthwhile
Oct 2019
So I was able to see the Xinbeitou historic station, which has been converted into a museum of sorts. It was interesting, but there really wasn't all that much to see.

Raining day train
May 2019 • Friends
This station is extension from Beitou station and already provides the convenience to visitors to many of the places of interest over there. The station is just ordinary but the train is decorated for visitors with promotion screens, icons, seats, etc.

Entrance of hot spring area
Mar 2019 • Solo
To go to Beitou, you can also walk from MRT Beitou station. But you can also take another MRT line to Xinbeitou: just for one station. This is the last stop and the entrance of Beitou hot spring area.

Many moves for wooden station
Feb 2019 • Friends
Beitou gained fame during the Japanese colonial period (1895-1945) as one of the premier spas and hot springs in the Empire. The way to get there was by train, and the wooden station is a relic of the railway line. You can inspect the station, it's well worth seeing -- it's just next to the modern Xinbeitou MRT Station. The wooden station was moved several times.
