Ximending is the Kingdom of the Kids. It's a fun place to meet for teenagers. There are lots of pop-up shops and good places to eat. Ximending starts warming up in the afternoon. Ximending is easily accessible by the Taipei MRT. The Ximemding MRT Station is on the MRT Blue line, it's always busy, day and night.

Good place to shop and eat. Food stalls are very cheap and the food is actually really good and unique. Highly recommend this place in Taipei.

Trendy location with shopping that caters to budgets high and low. You will find international brands as well as local and run-of-the-mill brands. Streets laden with food vendors that sell finger food , snacks and bubble tea.
Street performances take place in the weekends. Plenty of restaurant options. Expect huge crowd turn out in the weekends.
Most retailers starts operating from 11am or later.

Ximen has a lot of shopping stores, if you are a person love shopping, you will love it. In there, you can find some delicious food including the latest dessert and traditional taiwaness food. Also, you can buy some souvenir here. The ximen red hous also have some stores, the store there is about traditional and artical things. You can find some historical atmosphere in the ximen red house. Sometimes, you can find some street perfomers in Ximen. I have seen some performaces playing bells, and many people stay around them. It's a lively place.

I love cementing there a lot of shopping street performer good coffee street food keep people watching it’s a very good place to go if ever you’re busy typing and please try their stinky to fool bad smell taste delicious.

Ximending is in Wanhua, the oldest part of Taipei. Ximending is favorite haunt of Taipei's young people. Its attractions revolve around three things -- eating, shopping and entertainment. Eating is a form of recreation. Apart from the many restaurants, "bubble tea" is a favorite fun drink for which Taiwan is well-known. Shopping revolves around trying on many garments until you finally find something eye-catching. Ximending has many forms of entertainment, ranging from buskers to movie theatres. The Red House is a Ximending landmark. By the way, Ximending is busiest in the evening, when it can become quite crowded.

I lived in Wanhua, and the Ximending is a place where I had been many times place!
Ximending is a good place to play with young people. There have eats, play, movies, and clothes can take your times. You may try the bubble tea when you arrive to Taiwan, it 's a very nice drink also you can change your flavor like more sugar or not.
If you like window shopping, Ximending has many department stores to satisfy you, many students also buy the clothes here.
Fortunately, when you arrive to Taiwan on holiday, you may see beautiful decorations in Ximending

Today, I would like to recommend the place where is very popular with Taipei youth and tourists — Xingmending. There are four reasons. The first of all is plenty of restaurants. People can eat not only traditional Taiwanese food but also innovative Taiwanese food. The next is Xingmending is a good place to go shopping. It’s full of stores and shops. People can buy fashionable clothes and souvenirs there. Besides of delicious food and shopping paradise, People can watch street performances and exhibitions. The final reason is the Red House, the western-style building. The Red House is a historical building which is built in 1908. People can cultural and creative products there. Above are the reasons why I recommend Xingmending.

This was where we started and ended our day tour to Yehliu, Jiufen and Shifen. After our day trip, we returned here at night and had time to walk around Ximending. This is a trendy place, popular with the younger set and is more happening at night, full of people and life. There are many cafes, shops, colorful lights around. Being seniors, we just did window shopping and checked out the area. Too fast pace for us.

If you are planning to experience the nightlife of Ximending, I suggest you stay until 10.00pm. If you only merely want to try out some foods around the area, max I give it around 3 hours will do.
Nothing much to shop there; as is pretty much the same compare to other area but many food joints you can go for.

Didn't notice abt restaurants at Ximending, but definitely more eateries and restaurants at Yongkang area. Most popular and great food and service is Ding Tai Feng at Yongkang.
