You get the "away from city" view while being in the city. It is easy to go from Taipei City. Food there can get rather expensive though.

I love going up the mountain, going to a tea place, drinking tea, looking over the green mountains, and eating their sesame noodles.... The gondola ride is fun too.

Try the glass bottom cable car ride that takes up up all the way to Maokong Mountain. There are 2 stops in between the bottom and top station ie the Taipei Zoo stop and the temple stop. The ticket price is depending on the number...More

First of all I saw it from Taipei 101 and then decided to go there. I went there by Cable Car. It was a good experience. You can have good photos in neutral beauty.

Its certainly roomy enough for that, i guess just depends on how many people are riding the same time as you? and what they are carrying with them.
