梅荷園聽名字好像是花木扶疏之處，其實只是有幾棵樹和涼亭，這裡居高臨下，視野遼闊，有君臨天下之感，這裡是水社附近欣賞日月潭最佳位置。

老蔣的私房景點

到了日月潭，每個人的玩法都不一樣，每個人可能都有私房景點，對於水社上去一點點的梅荷園，可能走過路過都會錯過。事實上，如果你不想用玩的方式，就想靜靜地喝杯咖啡，欣賞湖景，放個空，這裡是相當不錯的。這裡本是保衛老蔣的憲兵隊，可想而知其位置一定是可以監控各面的，因此，視野絕佳。外加下方那條步道，當年可是蔣介石散步的小徑，你說，風景會差嗎？別去其它地方人擠人，這裡是下午茶喝杯咖啡的好所在。我給它4顆星86分評價。

觀賞水社碼頭最佳地點

梅荷園因為地方不大，所以許多人並不知道這地方，但這裡卻是觀賞水社碼頭最佳場所，因為在潭邊且在制高點，視野佳，旁邊也有亭子和椅子，是一處不錯的休憩點。

觀賞日月潭的遊憩場所

日月潭涵碧自然步道入口處的梅荷園六０年代前為軍方憲兵隊之管制地，蔣介石到此度假時，梅荷園就成了最佳的崗哨所。在９２１大地震之後，政府將梅荷園規劃成絕佳的賞景處，靠近潭邊的長廊式涼亭是遊客賞景的平台，提供民眾觀賞日月潭的遊憩場所。

沒有梅也沒有荷，但有湖面美景的梅荷園

梅荷園的命名由來原來這裡是軍方憲兵隊的管制要地，最後授以憲兵「梅荷精神」象徵命名，九二一地震之後開放給遊客參觀，此處的觀景台有無敵的湖景。此處不大有不是很有名，所以遊客不是很多。

2016年10月に行きました。日月潭を自転車で一周した際に立ち寄りました。
台中からのバスが到着する水社から向山ビジターセンターに向かう途中にあります。向山ビジターセンターまではサイクリングロードが整備されていて、快適にサイクリングが楽しめます。
