Trim and tidy grounds with lots of places to relax, read a book, take a stroll, have a latte. Buildings range from modern to traditional.

Not much worth seeing, its a university, and a pretty mediocre one in Taiwan, the grounds are nothing special, buildings keep changing every few years and it gets taller and more ugly as time goes by. Interesting historical air raid shelter, and that's about it.

We used to go to NCU to wander around or feed the fish with a young son. There's a lot of green space for frisbee/badminton, so you can go with a small group of families. There's an English bookstore on campus, and a few convenience stores. Some half-decent restaurants that cater to the student population (quite cheap). Coffee shops etc but no pubs (booze culture not really big in Taiwan HE). Also some neat roads around the back if you have a motorcycle. They hold ELT conferences as well as others throughout the year.
