We always go here for rock climbing trips or just pure camping. There are a lot of local visitors during weekends but if you want seclusion you can go a bit further from the main area. The reef here provides an assortment of corals and fish species. Whenever we go camping here, we always stay overnight or 2 nights at... More

What a taste of simple paradise. The beach is graced with clear and cool waters. Its one of the picture perfect places for relaxation and just chilling out. Few meters from the shore, you can see colorful school of fish when you go snorkeling. There are rock formations on the side and the atmosphere is so peaceful. Maybe because I... More

Really nice rock formations, worth the drive and the 5 pesos they charge for admittance. Lots of people are their with their families eating and such, lots of kids in the water. Decent place to swim, even has some showers! Take a look at this one!

Clear blue waters, that's what I've always remembered about Tangkaan. You have to go down to get to the beach so make sure to assist the young and elderly. No wheelchair access. I recommend bringing your own food as there's no place to buy any. You can do some rock diving for the more adventurous ones. Kids have no chance... More

If you swim out a ways here, there is plenty to see, though the coral is somewhat damaged and covered in trash closer to shore. Decent chance of dolphins, turtles and pelagics. Beware of holidays though, as this place can get over run with local visitors.

Buy a roast chichen from the shop and take a motorcycle from Padre Burgos to the end of the point where you will find tables, changing rooms, a statue of St George (?) excellent snorkelling and family friendly beaches. Lots of locals there at the weekend - great fun!

If you are in Padre Burgos for diving, this beach is a nice one to have a little break. It is easy to reach and during the week not to crowded. Snorkeling is nice. Turtles are quite common there, best to be seen in the later afternoon.

This was the best place in Southern Leyte that we went to for visibility in the water and just some peace and quiet. The water was so warm and the people were awesome. For a small price for like $1 you can rent out a table for you and your group or whoever. It was definitely worth it. We spent... More

Tangkaan has always been on my visiting list while in Southern Leyte. My family and I actually went over a dozen times during a period of 2 months in there. and we LOVED it ! We often arrived in the morning, paid our PhP5.00 fee per person and enjoyed the day along the beach ; the kids in the crystal... More
