This is easily accessible to public, and the several temples in for different gods are built well. But it would be a little difficult for elderly people as one has to climb few high and narrow steps before reaching the place of god.

One of the six temples for Lord Muruga , Lord is majestic , stairs are there to be climbed . Not that much of crowd . Thirumananjeri Thiruvalanchuzhi Patteswaram Thiru kanjanur Sri nama Bodenthral Swamigal Adishthanam are all nearby temples .

Swamimalai is located 6 kms away from kumbakonam. We had a nice darshan here. We tried sukku outside the temple premises and it was one of the best drink we had. Every one in our family felt the same.

Located close to city.easily accessible by local transport.for those who drive down,there is a huge car park behind the temple where you can park and walk down.
