There are things I will never understand about archeological sites: some are world-famous and you hear about them everywhere (Lascaux, Stonehenge, Filitosa, Altamira...) and others which are sometimes at least as interesting are almost unknown (Newgrange, the Tarxien temples...). This is the case of Cucuruzzu....More

Take a stroll through bronze age history along this engaging walk through an archeological site. Buy your tickets at the kiosk and you will be reminded that a gentle hike through this ancient woodland takes the best part of two hours. You will be handed...More

Easy self guided walk through the forest. I tried not to understand too much just thought of prehistoric humans walking this same path. That's powerful in itself. Great views of Aiguilles de Bavella at some point.

This historic site is full of stone constructions which you can clamber on. The grass is green and lush but I was bitten to pieces by something there!

What a superb find this site was on an early rainy morning, with not another soul in sight. Not good for most people to walk in the rain but we had just completed the GR20, so it was fine for us. The walk was a...More

Cuccuruzzu is an amazing prehistorical archaeological site near Levie, Corsica. Allow 1.5 to 2 hours. Trails can be rough and rocky - only for the sure-footed. No strollers or wheel chairs here. Totally worth it. Fun for kids, too, as lots of places to run...More

One of the rare stone-age relics (Torre culture) in Corsica, it is worth visiting. Access is up the mountain range and then on a small road. There are two main sites and it is abut 2 or 3 km of walking in a triangular route...More
