It's great for those who have time to kill. Once you finally get up the hill to where the Buddha is the view is very nice but except for the view there isn't much else to do or see.

A must see in Phuket. Amazing views of Chalong Bay. Get a blessing from a Buddhist Monk. Very peaceful and spiritual place.

Better to visit when it is fully completed. The interior or rather the base of the buddha is still a construction site.

Although it takes a long time to get up there is and is pretty much only accessible by taxi or scheduled tour, this buddha is a must see. You can see the entire south of the island, including Phuket town, kata/karon beach and the southern...More

This was the second time that I visited this place and maybe that's the reason why I find it rather boring. Women must be dressed appropriately as usual for the places of worship in Thailand. They have scarf available for tourists if they needed them...More

I know this is supposed to be based on my experience of Big Buddha, but I wish I'd been warned about what I'd see on the only path up to the viewpoint. I am very strongly against the ever growing tourist attraction that is elephant...More

There are no buses that will take you directly to Big Buddha. It's a 40 min trip from Patong so I would recommend. Private taxi and then take in a few other sites . Taxi will be the cheapest in the long run Big Buddha is... More
