The fortress has a nice location but nowadays all you can see is just wall and a few towers no as well conserved as they should. It is a pity because if at least there were a good recreation of the how it should be in its better days I’m sure it would be an interesting place but the reality... More

it's a Wonderfull site and it has a beautiful view. we went there on a day during the week and there were no other risers at that time. it has a lot of stairs, so you must be a little fit. my kids just had the energy to do it.

Really interesting historic and visually stunning fortress high on a hill in the Golan Heights. The brochure given by the park service plotted a helpful route in seeing the site and provided good explanations. Very worthwhile!

On my trip to Israel in 2010, I was fortunate enough to visit Nimrod's Castle. It was amazing! I absolutely loved going through the old castle....lots of spacious rooms. Lots of cut out stone with so much history. I can't wait to go again one day.

The drive from Nazareth was wonderful in December. Much more green than in June and Oct. But is was quite long and when we got there, they were already closing the gate for Sabbath. It was amazing to see from the road.

Nimrod Fortress National Park should be in the top 10 things to do in this region. It was massive..well preserved. We were shocked how well preserved actually. There are numerous nooks and crannies to explore and excellent views. The pictures I have seen of this National Park did not do it justice, I highly recommend that you come and check... More

This Arabic architectural marvel is sure to inspire young and old. Laid out over 450m of ridge line, the site dominates the vistas for miles around. The ruins are remarkably well preserved given the passage of time 800 years or so. If you make it to the high tower in what is believed to be the original fortress/ castle keep... More
