If you like botany and local history and culture, then this the place for you. However, many of the exhibits are amateurish or in need of refurbishment. To have an explanatory panel about a plant, and no plant visible, is unacceptable. But the museum kept us occupied for an hour and a half and the free hot chocolate at the... More

The ecomusee has some wonderful flora and fauna as well as some information on history of Guadeloupe that's interesting. However, it's a pretty small place and doesn't take long to get through as there just isn't much to be seen. In my opinion, it wasn't worth the entry fee. Interesting garden and museum, with a reasonable admission price. We visited as part of an overpriced cruise tour, led by a guide generally knowledgeable of the island, but not well versed in the flora/flauna housed within the garden. we really enjoyed our visit to the museum, lovely garden with clear descriptions of plants. We liked the videos made of children taking part in different activities. Thanks for the very tasty cup of chocolate!
