Kuroen is a combined rural museum and cultural centre. The history of the farm can be traced back to 1599. The present farmhouse was built in two stages with the newer building being built as an extension to the old one. The barn dates from the 1800s. There is also a timber woodshed, traditional storehouse and a forge here. Between June and August, a traditional sour-cream porridge is served with cured meats every Saturday and Sunday, and the kiosk is open on Tuesday evenings in the same period.
