Called into Carrick on way to Launceston and found this Metal Art gallery. The remains of the old brick gallery caught our attention. What a fantastic building this would have been. The current gallery is loaded with great pieces. Small and large. I'm sure there's something for everyone. Bought a kookaburra to take home with us. Worth a visit!

The first time we called to the gallery it was closed as it is only open 10.00 to 16.00 and we got there at 16.35.I had tried to find a web site to get opening times but could not find one.As we were staying in Launceston we went back the next morning as it is only about 20 minutes drive... More

Just 10 mins from Launceston on the Old Bass Hwy. Thought we'd just drop by - but what a surprise - a small gallery/studio jammed with just amazing unique imaginative copper art work - some polished, some lacquered in amazing colours. Really worth dropping by -free entry and hassle free looking.

You need to give yourself time to look at all this amazing stuff. I could have spent thousands in there it was so good. They will actually post their items to you if you are like us and didn't have check-in luggage. Well worth the stop.

Absolutely stunning artworks created from various metals. Easy to spend a fortune on souvenirs and presents, as we certainly did. We were the only visitors at the time (20-04-2015) so it was a slow day for the proprietors, but they certainly earned their wages from our visit! Awesome that they also offered postage of the artworks too..... I couldn't imagine... More

Every time We visit TasmanIa, we stop off and purchase something from this gallery. Just wandering through the shop is an amazing experience, and video footage of the owner actually making the items is truly fascinating. All is handmade there by the owner and prices are remarkably reasonable. An amazing craft to see still being practised in this day and... More

Carrick is 15 minutes from Launceston and well-worth a visit for Tom Marik's beautiful metal work. I particularly like his sea creatures and this time purchased a leafy seadragon, a crab and a seahorse - all in metal and exquisitely coloured. But don't be mislead, there are also gothic items, beautiful birds (kookas, little wrens). So don't pass by, detour... More

This was such a great place, only found it by chance. Amazing beautiful handmade items. There is something for everyone. And they will send anything as well, so you don't miss out if item you like is to big to take home. Must see....

This is well worth a visit if you are passing by Carrick. There is so many different styles of metal art pieces, there will be something that you can't say no to. Even if you do not buy anything, looking at the many beautiful pieces is reward enough.
