A fantastic experience! This is a brand new boat with super friendly crew. The best and most beautiful in Mirissa. We had an amazing experience and will recommend all our friends and family. The good boy boat is faster than other boats so you do get to see whales first before other boats arrive. On your trip you will spot... More

We took a whale watching tour which was quite successful in as much as we spotted four whales up reasonably close. No dolphins however which was disappointing as they were what I was hoping to see - the previous day they spotted around 100. The refreshments were great but one comment I would make is that a few more seats... More

They were very careful on the whale safari. First, they have insurance for you, which is something you only wonder about when it is too late to ask. Second, they are associated with the hotels (our hotel had the same name - Paradise Beach Club) which then allows you to check out only after you are back from the safari... More

We went on a trip with the company called Whale Explorer. The trip was awful and dangerous. A crew of relatively young guys just wouldn't give up searching for whales despite the rough sea. All other boats returned to port. People were feeling and getting sick, some of us were asking to return to port. They insisted on continuing until we... More

We got to see a blue whale on our whalesafari, which was an amazing experience for us, but not so much for the whale. There are many boats and as soon as the whale reaches the surface the boats rush towards it. The whale seemed to be stressed by this and spent less and less time in the surface to... More

We let our tuk-tuk driver convince us to book Good Boy whale watching while we were still in Galle. What a mistake! Among at least 20-25 boats we (cca 130 of us) were the last to sail out with more than half an hour delay because the crew decided to wait for (8 persons) group of irresponsible, self-centerd, prepotent young... We went with Geeth after reading reviews and him and his staff were excellent. Some of the other boats were overloaded with people and black smoke was coming out of the back of the boats which makes you wonder how long the whales will stick around in the area. Some of the boats were dangerous showing little regard for other... More

Down to the busy harbour to board our boats around 07.00. 2 decks and everyone has to wear a life jacket. As part of a hired boat with several small groups our boat was one of the least overcrowded. One boat I noticed jam packed and listed in the waves at some 70 degrees, not for me.One surprise we were... More

We were booked in with the Sri Lankan naval boat but were told by our tour guide they had cancelled as it was a moon day public holiday. Ended up being shoved onto a boat with 150 other people like sardines..... Dreadful. Spotted four whales and each time our boat And the five surrounding rushed over.... two breaths and the... More
