About
On the 40th floor, 152 m in height, there is one of Tokyo's finest "Seaside Top" view points with a view of Minato Ward below. From the 200m-per-view corridor, you can overlook Tokyo's two largest towers, Tokyo Tower and Sky Tree, as well as Odaiba and the seaside area such as Rainbow Bridge. There are wide-ranging landscapes such as cityscapes in central Tokyo, Shinkansen, transportation systems such as monorails and expressways, and vessels overlooking Tokyo Bay. In particular, it is a valuable experience to be able to observe the moment when the point of the monorail changes from directly above.

Neighbourhood: Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi
Odaiba is an entertainment hotspot with a giant ferris wheel, concert halls, amusement arcades and lots of shopping. It also boasts Oedo-onsen-monogatari, a hotspring that recreates old Edo-era ambiance and is very popular with foreign visitors. Shiodome has ultra-modern office buildings where you can often find restaurants with a great high-rise view of Tokyo. The neighboring area of Shinbashi is a district of much older commercial buildings and it's a great place to join 'salary men' enjoying a drink and snacks at street stalls under the railway bridges after work.

Observatories are notorious for being tourist traps. We know entrance tickets are overpriced and that views are usually overrated; but we still include it in our travel itinerary anyway, especially when visiting a city for the first time.

Seaside Top Observatory was surprisingly a refreshing exception. Apart from providing you a view of both the Tokyo Tower and the Skytree Tower; its entrance ticket is beyond reasonable. At an altitude of just forty floors, it certainly cannot compete with most observatories around the world when it comes to being the tallest; but it strikes that perfect balance of affording you a nice 360 view of Tokyo; at a height where you can still appreciate the city's detailed architecture without the need for high-tech equipment.

Definitely, a must-visit!

Great observatory and well worth the ~600 Yen entrance fee. You can walk around and get a wide 360 degree view of the surrounding areas. This has to be one of the best places to view Tokyo Tower too. I went around sunset and there were loads of people taking sunset photos of the aforementioned tower from the North-West corner. Nice place to hang out at and well worth a visit.

Centrally placed, the World Trade Center observatory offers good views of Tokyo. It doesn’t cost much to get up there. Worth doing if time limited and you can’t get to the Tokyo Skytree.

Whilst not as iconic as the Tokyo Tower, I am glad that I stumbled across this observatory. There are less crowds then at other observatories and you can get decent shots of the Tokyo Tower. I was lucky enough to visit in the twilight hours which gave the opportunity for both late afternoon and evening pictures.
Definitely come here if you looking for great views above Tokyo, without the crowds of Tokyo Tower :D

We visited this observatory on top of the World Trade Centre for a bird’s eye view of the Tokyo Tower. Turns out the panoramic view we expected was not to be as an adjacent building almost denied us any view of the iconic tower at all. Thus, a small crowd was camping at a corner of the observatory that offers the best view of the tower.

That said, the observatory was decked out with comfy chairs, tables and light music so it was a really good place to chill. Barring the obtrusive building on its south side, the views of the city on the other 3 directions were great and watching the trains go by every few minutes was pretty fun. At a height of 152m, this observatory is way lower than the skytree but that’s actually not a bad thing as we are able observe the ground level more easily.

I wanted to see Tokyo Tower and Tokyo night view so I decided to went to this place and it was quite cheap too.
Since you can see and get nice photo of Tokyo Tower from here, everybody do the same thing. I went there around 6pm and at first I thought it wasn't many people there but turn out everybody were gather at the place where you can see the Tokyo Tower. It wasn't that crowded but you must compete with some people to get nice photo.

Besides, it was a nice quiet place to just relax and enjoying city view from above.

A nice and peaceful observation area with great views of Tokyo and Tokyo Tower. It is at the top of the WTC and has a direct subway connection.
I think a new skyscraper has been built up to WTC a year ago and this slightly spoils the view of Tokyo Tower.

Right beside the station, this is a great place to go just on dusk and watch the city light up. The views were excellent on a clear night and it wasn't too crowded, so it was pleasant just to grab a seat and watch the lights come on.

This is one of my very favorite observatories in Tokyo. It's not as well known as Sky Tree or Tokyo Tower but it's like a hidden gem. You have great views of Tokyo Tower, Mori Tower, Odaiba snd all trains coming and going. Price is low as well. Highly recommend it.
