Neighbourhood: Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi
Odaiba is an entertainment hotspot with a giant ferris wheel, concert halls, amusement arcades and lots of shopping. It also boasts Oedo-onsen-monogatari, a hotspring that recreates old Edo-era ambiance and is very popular with foreign visitors. Shiodome has ultra-modern office buildings where you can often find restaurants with a great high-rise view of Tokyo. The neighboring area of Shinbashi is a district of much older commercial buildings and it's a great place to join 'salary men' enjoying a drink and snacks at street stalls under the railway bridges after work.

A very quiet well maintained shrine hidden in the neighbourhood. Shiba Daijingu shrine dates back to the year 1005.

A medium size shrine hidden in a quiet spot of Daimon area, off the main road. The temple building looks quite old. It sits at the top of a low hill. Worshippers have to climb a flight of steps to reach the temple. There are many such small to medium size shrines scattered all over the city of Tokyo. “Shrine” is the national religion of Japan. No harm coming in to watch where and how the locals pay their respects.

Apart from being a place of worship for the Japanese, this place has a lot of high significance for the country of Japan. Considering this place has a long history, ie since the year 1005! Civilization and culture course very influential over time, and some can be seen from the existence of this temple.
