In Shinjuku, many restaurants operate all night, and districts such as Omoide Yokocho (Memory Lane) or Shinjuku Golden Machi have back streets filled with tiny restaurants and bars that reflect each owner’s unique taste and style.

Shinjuku Marui Honkan is just diagonally across from Isetan. I popped in since it was close-by, but once I stepped in, I was reminded of the Marui in Kyoto. They have cute and pretty things, but I walked out empty-handed.

This was a fun and trendy outpost of the large Marui Department Store chain in Tokyo. There are fashion and home goods, and fun little places to eat.

"What does Marui sell?" It's a store that makes you wonder. There are three stores in total. I appreciate the information on the internet and apps, but the store has a strong Showa era impression.
