Minato Mirai 21 neighborhood is one of the most luxurious and expensive areas of Yokohama and by the sea and is mainly famous for its restaurants, cafes and night clubs. Most of the customers come to this area from Tokyo for fun. The Cosmo Clock 21 carousel, which is 100 meters high, is one of the tallest carousels in the world.

We went in June 2020. Absolutely no one was up there.

The bar/cafe serves great stuff. Nothing better than a beer or coffee looking at a stunning view.

When it was empty it was amazing, I'm sure it would lose its appeal as it gets more crowded.

It was already dark when we got to the tower. We were able to walk right in to the ticket counter, buy a ticket and walk right on to the elevator.

This elevator - is the fastest one in Japan. It's a 40 second ride to the top!

Once at the top, there were not many people up there. The snack bar was still open, so we bought some ice cream. The gift shop had closed down for the day - so no souvenirs from the top!

Went there in evening before sunset and enjoyed both day and night views.
Views are really stunning much better than I had expected. The Bay Area is visible and so is the flyer and 360 degree views of city.

Night views are stunning and ticket price is reasonable.
Must visit place, few minutes walk from train station.
I visited on my way back from Kamakura.

The observation deck is on the 69th floor and is free to enter. You can get great 360 degree views looking over Yokohama city and the bay with its impressive bridges.

Definitely the best viewing spot in Yokohama

What is the difference in the favorable direction of Yokohama from Tokyo? No matter which tower of Tokyo you climb, you won't see the whole city. On the contrary in Yokohama. The city, of course, is also huge - three million inhabitants, but it can be seen from the landmark tower. At least the boundaries. Landmark Tower can't be confused with anything, that's why it's landmark. Sky Garden observation deck is located on the 69th floor, to which the Elevator promises to deliver in 45 seconds and for 1000 yen (children-500). The stopwatch showed us 38. Like most similar observation decks in the world Sky Garden is glazed. The rocking of the skyscraper from the Pacific ocean`s winds is not felt. This is not a joke. Wind loads shake the 296-meter skyscraper 10 meters from the axis. It`s a little, but if there was no damper motion sickness would begin. Especially for those who decided to stay in the bar for a long time. The dampers are higher up on the 71st floor, but there is no access to them. These are big balls that work as a counterweight. Oscillating at the same frequency as the skyscraper, they move in the opposite direction, returning it to the center of mass. It gives confidence when you are at an altitude of 300 meters in the most seismically dangerous country in the world. We did not find an earthquake, but witnessed one of the most devastating floods in recent years. So confidence is not hurt. The review on a platform of 360 degrees. Very convenient. You can sit in the bar and buy magnets in the gift shop. And of course to photograph. We were in the evening, but comparing day photos and our own, night Yokohama looks much more interesting. So it is better to go in the evening.

Let me start out by saying we are from Seattle. A place where it costs you your first born to go to the stop of the space needle where you can buy a mediocre coffee with your second born and get some half decent views.

THE LANDMARK TOWER IS AMAZING. It only costs 1000 YEN A PERSON to go to the top, where you get the most amazing sprawling views of Yokohama and BEYOND (Mt Fuji, Tokyo, Kawasaki and to the south towns I don't know the names of...Yokosuka?) Anyway, it is totally amazing, and you can buy food up there. Good food...and a beaker of beer! There are couches that you can sit and just stare the day away at the horizon that goes on forever. Staff is incredibly nice, and helpful, although no one spoke english we started to become pretty good at rapid hand movements that everyone could understand. Even the elevator ride up is incredibly cool. I highly, HIGHLY suggest that anyone do this, even make it the first thing you do upon arriving in Yokohama so you can get your bearings.

More expensive than Tokyo SkyTree and Pointless if you visited Tokyo SkyTree. Go for other spots in Yokohama.

I have been here before but believe the view is worth the charge. I can't remember exact fee but around 1000 yen for adults and less for pensioners, kids. Taken up to viewing platform within seconds. you can spend as long as you like talking photos from four different angles basically viewing areas to north, east, west and south. Some buildings are identified for you on side maps. If you go just before sunset you get the best of both worlds. Night time you cannot see specific places as easily but the lights are amazing. Anyone that does not like heights may be able to cope with the night time view? The height does not seem as obvious. Food and drink outlet, drinks vending machine, souvenir shop and toilets. well worth a visit

Yes, the view is awesome. There is a bar serving a limited choice of drinks and sofas in front of the large windows, making it a relaxing place to have a break from an hectic day....
However, if you wish to go to a real bar with the same -and less crowded- view, then just go the bar of the hotel. The drinks and food are not cheap, but you save yourself 1000Yen fee for the SkyGarden already...
