Many visitors to Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door go there by car, but my friend and I made the trip by public transport. While slightly difficult in terms of time constraints, it is possible to do so with the right amount of planning. We took the train to Wool, after which we transferred to bus 104. It costs £2.80 for... More

Durdle door and lulworth cove is a very scenic part of the english coast and easily accessible. To get to Durdle Door by road you must first drive through the Durdle Door caravan park. So if you get to the park entry and think you are on the wrong road, no you are not, drive slowly through the park and... More

Lovely beach, nice walk down and back, good photo opertunities, and good dog walking, it was a cold day, might be a bit too hot in the summer to make the walk down and back!!!

Lovely walking on the beach and seeing the fishermen bringing in the scallop catch. Perfect stones for skimming and throwing, world class in fact. As long as it is not raining don't be put off very worthwhile.

Personally I think it's the jewel in the crown of the Dorset coast. We walk from Weymouth to Lulworth cove once a year and durdle door is my fav spot. As we're down every new year the weather ain't at it's best in December. But never the less it's a stunning view. Highly recommended and take you camera. If we're... More

My husband I were there in May and it was freezing but so beautiful! We had to make 2 trips because the fog was so heavy in the morning! We did not mind the whole area is really cute! The pubs are very friendly!

Lovely place to visit, especially in wild weather and the circular walk from Lulworth Cove and back again is recommended.

This place is certainly one of the highlights of the Dorset coastline. After parking at the visitor centre in Lulworth we set off to explore Durdle Door. This will take you about half an hour and it is worth noting that the initial walk up is fairly steep and relentless, so sensible footwear is a must. Once you reach the... More

What a great location. Brilliant views. Great choice of walks which can take in either location. Don't need to do both the same day.
