In short, this was just an incredible trip and ideal for anyone with a real sense of adventure and interest in aspects of endemic fauna and flora and human interest. Of course it is difficult not to have a great time on Socotra, as it is just one of the most incredible islands on earth and the Socotri are a... More

Our favorite beach on Socotra island and definitely one of the best in the world is Shuaabh/Shoab. The trip by boat to the beach is already beautiful experience on its own (many reviewers wrote how to get there), driver was stopping or slowing down on many nice spots. I would recommend that after swimming, you should also climb up the... More

Shoab beach must be among the ten best beaches in the world, possibly the best. The sand is like white powder, the azure waters are crystal clear, this beach seems really straight out of a dream. It's not very famous because Socotra is still not a mainstream tourist destination and also to reach this beach you need to rent a... More

Took a boat ride to this beautiful beach, saw many many dolphins en-route but make sure you take the boat early to get the best chance of seeing the dolphins, the ride to shaoub is very scenic with cucumber trees and birds along the cliffs, the beach itself is deserted, we were the only tourists there and maybe 3 locals,... Yes...Shouab is the best beach in Socotra. To make it more comfortable, the nearby villagers built up shelters for the tourist and they plan to open a restaurant there(something like in Dihamri). There were no one when we arrived in the morning, but a few people came in the afternoon. But the beach is big and you wont feel crowded besides,we were already "owned" the... I think Shoab beach is the most beautiful beach in Socotra, and it's actually one of the best beaches I've ever seen. In order to reach there, you need to take a boat from the coastal village Qalansiya, and on the way to Shoab you might be lucky enough to see a lot of dolphins jumping in the sea. The... More

Without a doubt, sailing to Shouab beach in west Socotra is one of the most exciting trips in the island. But there are few things I’d like to warn about in a hope to help the others to fully enjoy this experience. The sail starts from the large fishermen village of Qalansiyah, and your best bet is to leave for... More

Shoab Beach is one of the most beautiful, remote and untouched beaches that I have ever visited. The waters and sand are pristine and you have the whole beach to yourself. You need to take a boat ride to Shoab from Qalansiyah and the trip is out of this world. We stopped to snorkel on the way to Shoab and... More

From Qalansiyah most tour operators can book you a trip with a local fisherman who will take you on a boat journey to Shoab. By far the best option is to travel early in the morning when the dolphins are playing out on the edge of the bay. Bring your own snorkel mask and fins and you'll get the truly... More
