These gardens have something for every age group. It is a wonderful garden to escape the noise, and hustle and bustle of the main roads on Tamborine Mountain. Pack a picnic and head to the gardens for a lovely day out. A small donation is appreciated, but there is no actual entry charge. There are so many different areas and... More

Not one of the world's great botanic gardens but definitely worth an hour of your time. Very easy strolling and there's been a clear effort to have a bit of everything - azeala garden, ditto rhodies, orchids, succulents etc etc. If you have young children the forest walk is excellent with nice interpretive and educational panels. Easy parking.

This is an absolutely delightful place to visit. I have brought international and interstate visitors to this place. It is continually being improved by the local volunteers, who do an outstanding job. The changes through the seasons is worth following in making visits. Just an hours drive from Brisbane. The meditation spots include some wonderful quotes, including from Levi-Strauss, and... More

Considering how small the town is, this botanical garden bats well outside its division. Very well done, and small enough to cover in approximately 2 hours. A great place to bring a picnic lunch on a sunny day. IMO one of the best attractions on Tamborine Mountain.

When I visit the area which is mostly the Gallery Walk and a beer at the brewery and a pizza there, I finish my visit with a walk through the Botanic Gardens. Good in summer as there is some shade and good in winter, as you will find a sunny spot to relax. The garden is most beautiful with lots... More

The Botanic Gardens were a real surprise in our recent visit to Tamborine Mountain. There were lots of places to sit peacefully and contemplate life. Even though there weren't a lot of flowers visible it was evident that the camelias would soon be in full bloom and that the flowering shrubs would be a picture in Spring. There were lots... More

Dear Thimbella. As winter approaches, the Gardens at present are somewhat devoid of flowers though as you say the Camellias are starting to flower as are the Orchids in the Orchid house. We are however, lucky to have a cooler climate than the coast so we do get beautiful autumn colours from many of the trees throughout the garden. The... More

This is a nice botanic gardens that does a good job show-casing the Australian bush. It is well maintained and tidy. All the walks are relatively easy and accessible. You could have a quick 30 minute walk, or come with a picnic and spend quite a bit of time here. You would probably need to bring your own supplies because... More

You can go as far around this enchanting botanical experience as you like or just sit under the gazebo by the car park and take in the absolute beauty of these gardens. I can't believe something so astoundingly beautiful, educational and broadly planted could be handled solely by volunteers, but it is. Dig deep when you get to the donation... More

Dear Steffney B Thank you for taking the time to review the Gardens. I am pleased you enjoyed them. The Volunteers do a fantastic job, especially when you consider the average age is well over 70. We were lucky following ex-Cyclone Debbie that we did not suffer too much damage, unlike so many communities close to the Mountain. The 16"... More

We thoroughly enjoyed these gardens. A lot of time and effort to make this garden what it is, and they were continuing the great work when we were there.
