This is a wonderful place to eat and, because it is part of a Cave, the wine is extremely cheap. The food is super and there is a varied menu.

The staff are very helpful and don't hesitate to pour glass after glass of anything you want to try. The lady looking after us had a good sense of humour and decent English. There's no pressure to buy although we bought several cases and boxes as the wine really is good. Don't forget to book into the restaurant which is... More

This week we have been to the Bistro Alex twice, not planned, just happened like that. Both days we had different starters and main courses.....all just so scrumptious .For me to end the meal with a "Barba Rum", and David my husband the "Cafe Goumand" just perfect. We are so very lucky to have such a wonderful restaurant on our... More

We were only able to taste and purchase wines. No food was available at the time we were there. The wines were ok and reasonably priced. We did buy two bottles of their most expensive co-op produced wine which were 9.50 euros each. But I think you can find similar quality wines at similar prices at the local stores. For... More

A Cave Co-operative that has moved into the 21st century with style. A first class lunch and first class wines at bargain prices. But do book a table, if you just turn up you may be disappointed. At lunch time today, Thursday 5th July they were full. Mostly local registration plates, which says it all really. The wine tasting and... More

What is so good and too rare - is you are not ripped off with the price of wine. Great place to eat - frequented by the French locals - always a good sign

A stunning restaurant housed in a cave cooperative. Great affordable wine and beautiful honest french food. Good service. Incredible value. We will visit ever time we go to France.
