My husband and I took a one hour carriage tour of the Carriage Roads in Acadia National Park. Our guide, Mike, was a wonderful story teller. He was informative and amusing. Next time, we hope to take one of the longer tours

You can go for a horse-drawn carriage ride or tour from end of May through mid-October with prices for adults ranging from $20 to $36. No horse trail rides, but you can bring your own horse & stable it at Wildwood Stables.

My wife and I took the 1-hour carriage ride on a misty morning. The rain stopped and the sun actually came out during the ride. The route follows the horse trails built by the Rockefellers on the island. Our guide was a former Maine Attorney...More

Beautiful October ride on the carriage roads. We enjoyed the ride but felt that the driver/guide should have been more knowledgable about the park and carriage road info. We were disappointed because our driver did not seem sure of herself with the information and could...More
