The views over the bays are so pretty. I suggest bringing a sweater or light jacket because sometimes it can be windy and cool. It was worth the visit, I would recommend it.

The Cadillac Mountain tour is a must if you are in Bar Harbor. It was cold but sunny the day we were there. One hour on the top was more then enough. Bring your camera! Enjoy.

This had a great view at the top- parking was a bit slow- but we sat on top the rocks ate our lunch and hiked a bit downwards . Weather and views were spectacular on our weekend visit in October!

You may grumble to get out of bed early and drive up Cadillac Mountain but you’ll be glad you did. What a beautiful sunrise and a fun experience! Don’t miss it.

Great spot. The drive is beautiful. The scenery is outstanding. The parking is fine. The visitor center is interesting. The film is informative.

I am not sure what time the Visitor Center opens. And I don't think there was a gate to get onto the main entrance loop road or the road to Cadillac Mountain. You are supposed to purchase park tickets at the main Visitor... More

If I recall correctly the park is open 24 hours a day. Go to Acadia park website and you will find a more definite answer.
