The 2 hour carriage ride to the top of Day Mountain was delightful. Our driver was very entertaining and we learned a lot about horses and the history of the Rockefeller Carriage Roads. Since no cars are allowed on the roads, the ride was peaceful...More

We rented bikes and explored the carriage trails and bridges by wheels. The paths are well maintained with signs indicating the correct direction.

There aren't that many places in America where you can enjoy a car free trails that are mostly shaded along lakes, ponds and wooded forest. In addition, the extent of this carriage road allows one to ride as long as you can or as little...More

The Carriage Roads are mostly wide and beautifully maintained. There were a lot of bikers when we were there which made the roads less safe for hikers.

Took my wife and kids biking around Jordan Pond, which was a bit of a hill but well worth it for the views. Highly recommend.

We brought our bikes and took a fun family ride. Parts can be challenging but the downhill was a blast. Hard to see the lakes during the ride but very much worth the trip.

The top/north part of eagle lake is flat & you could spend an hour walking the eastern side down & back. Bubble pond also flat, so either could work nicely.
