Mesa Arch was well worth the .8 mile loop to see its spectacular views! One of my most favorite photos from our trip is our family in front of the Arch! Such great memories from a memorable location!

This was on my bucket list for years. Truly a remarkable sight. I actually cried watching the sun rise and the orange and red colors dance across the arch. I couldn’t believe I was getting the photos and taking in the views I had seen...More

One of my favorite morning on our trip. Short hike to the arch and the sunrise experience was awesome! It was rather crowded so go early if you want to photograph. I stayed off to the side because I used a fisheye. Can do with...More

This was my favourite place of the Islands in the Sky district....the rest was a bit boring to me, but Mesa Arch was beautiful. There were quite a few people around though.

Can’t really explain how awesome this is. Pictures don’t do it justice. The hike in is quick and not that hard. The view is better than you would expect. The arch is on the edge of a huge drop off. Breath taking. Don’t skip this...More

If you want to see arches, go to Arches Nat. Park. This is a small arch with a big drop off, which is probably the coolest thing about it.

This was a fairly easy hike that is heavily trafficked. The views here are amazing. Just keep an eye on your kids.

Mesa is a hidden gem and EASY to see and get to. Don't be fooled that its not in Arches National Park. It holds its own to ANY arch in Arches. Its a picture frame to the canyon. It was in our top 3 of...More

The early morning light on the Mesa Arch is wonderful. The hike to the arch is easy and well-marked and offers some nice views - but it is the Mesa Arch that is spectacular.

The hike is easy; the views at the arch are spectacular, especially if you go at sunrise. Be prepared, however, for a good number of "professional" photographers hogging up the best spots for photos at sunrise. At just about any other time, especially off season...More

If you are staying in Moab. I would leave at least 75 minutes before sunrise (depending on hotel location maybe even earlier) The scenery on the way in is spectacular even 20 minutes before sunrise! Better to get there early... More

The arch is in the national park. Anyone can drive into the park to see the arch. If you want the pictures at sunrise, get there early. People are there up to an hour before sunrise to get the closest spots.

Absolutely, visit Canyonlands. Most of the great views in the Island in the Sky are only steps away from your vehicle...no hiking necessary. Mesa Arch does require a short hike and you will have to go over a small hill... More
