Easy hike to the first overlook but we felt it was a bit challenging to make it to the second overlook. It required a bit of rock scrambling and you hike over a very rocky, unlevel path. You have to like hiking, I think, to...More

The Upheaval Dome has nice colours, but I didn't think that it was impressive enough to walk past the first viewpoint. The second viewpoint had a closer view but wasn't that exciting.

It was fun to learn how this entire area was formed. I think they are still determining what caused it. I like the impact theory. Nice hike back up in to this place, really enjoyed it. No shade.

This is a moderate trail to the overlooks of the dome that is worth your time. There are several panoramic views along the way also.

The upheaval Dome feature is one of the major interesting features in Canyonlands NP. There is rim outlook and a short hike to the feature. It is well worth a short stop and loop as you drive through the Canyonlands NP.

The hike from the parking lot to the first view point involves a number of uneven steep steps and walking on uneven rocks. We arrived here later in the day and found the walk quite tiring in the heat.

If it is a crater or something else, scientists do not agree. I don't care, it s beautifull, it is a good half mile walk and you can take a look into the bottom of the crater. If you want you can go to the...More
