This is an amazing place! Although it is about 20 miles outside the city of it's name, this is a "must-see" attraction. Make sure you leave yourself plenty of time to walk the well lighted trails and paths provided by the park. Summer months could...More

Absolutely amazing caverns! I very much appreciated that rangers encourage whispering while walking through the caves; it was very quiet, adding to the sense of awe and also minimizing impact on wildlife in the cave (though most critters only live near the mouth). Also, if...More

We were short on time when we visited so we took the elevator round trip on our visit. Such a beautiful, cool place to visit! We enjoyed the different views that changed around every corner. The lighting was very good. But I would suggest the...More

The visitor's center is simple, but the exhibits are informative. Best is the diagram of the caverns. The park ranger that introduces the natural entrance was AMAZING. She was funny, informative, and easy to understand.

We took the Ranger Tour to the King’s Palace. It takes almost two hours to complete. Fascinating! But it is only a part of the caverns! One room is 14 football fields long! You can enter by the outdoor entrance, Or if you are taking...More

The visitor center was a typical gift shop, but they did have quite a few unique souvenirs. My little ones got a bat necklace made of shells, dream catcher earrings, and a national park puzzle. It was busy, but large enough to accommodate everyone.

I have been to numerous caverns in America (Luray, Mammoth, Colossal, Crystal), including underwater, and this is the most impressive of all. Stick around to watch the bats fly out in the evening. Eerie.

The Visitor Center was very busy with lots of visitors when we were there. Lines for tickets. Few, but helpful rangers. Get an audio to enhance your experience.

Yes and I would bring the wheelchair. They have a elevator you can use to go down and back up to the Big room area. It is too steep to walk down and takes about an hour. You will enjoy it. While your there the restaurant in... More

I wasn't aware of those tours. We did the complete walking tour. You enter from the outside and see parts of the cave that those who take the elevator do not. We thought that was the best.
